I am committed to teaching holistic art classes that subtly incorporate math and science principles into art lessons. I earned my Art Education degree at Georgia State and became certified in Art Education in 2004. I have been actively teaching Art Education and earned a Masters in Education Management in 2008. I have been trained in International Baccalaureate teaching methods in Art Education.

Art Education Resource, LLC is different from standard Art Education because lessons can be tailored to meet the interests and needs of the students. Focused adult and after school Art Education programs are also available. You may choose your Art classes  to include various media and techniques or your Art Education may focus on one specific media. For school credit to be earned, Art Education classes include art history and art criticism with art production. Art Education Resource, LLC was founded with the intention of bringing quality art education to private or small group instruction. Some examples of art lessons:

Drawing using of a variety of media (pencil, ink, paint, pastel...), shading techniques (blending, stippling, hatching...) 

Composition 

Painting techniques, color mixing

3-D design with clay

Basket weaving

Calligraphy 

 Art Education Resource promotes the proven testimony that Art is important to education because:

• Students' overall academic performance is improved.
• Students that are actively engaged in arts education are more likely to have higher test scores than those with little or no involvement.
• Skills needed by the 21^st century workforce are developed: critical thinking, creative problem solving, effective communication, and teamwork.
• People that are involved with art learn to be more tolerant, open, and willing to share.
• Expressing creativity while creating art helps build self-confidence.

A variety of additional art resources are available to encourage each student's strengths and interests. In addition to field trips and studio tours, private studio lessons will be referred upon request.
